2018 General Election

Please be advised that a general municipal election will be held on October 24, 2018.
Prospective municipal election candidates should consult the Notice of Registration.
Each eligible voter is required to cast their ballot in their designated ward. To see a map of the ward boundaries please click here. Voting stations will be disclosed closer to the election day.
According to Section 5 of the The Elections Act, a person may vote in an election if he or she is a Canadian citizen who: 
  • will be at least 18 years old on election day;
  • has resided in Manitoba for at least six months immediately before election day; and
  • is a resident of the electoral division in which the election is being held

The nomination period will be on the following days:
September 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18, 2018 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the Municipal Office.
The nomination deadline is September 18 at 4:00 PM.
